In a film adaptation of a novel by James Franco, inner demons get in the way of two wannabe actors in Hollywood. Aspiring actor Sean is now sober after damaging multiple relationships with his family. At an acting class, he befriends Ben, a South Dakota transplant. As Ben’s devotion to his craft grows, Sean’s bad habits resurface. As each young man’s obsessions mount, their identities intertwine with the characters and actors they constantly emulate, ultimately resurrecting the dark corridors of their pasts. Based on the novel by and starring Academy Award-nominee James Franco, and featuring Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight), Actors Anonymous is a raw, highly entertaining ride, delving into the glamorized, enigmatic world of Hollywood. – Peter Koro
