The Bra

Life moves down the track. Nurlan has one last shift driving a cargo train into Baku in Azerbaijan, through neighborhoods where he could reach out the window and touch houses, people, and clotheslines. On that last trip, he snags a blue bra from a washing line, and decides to make a journey to find its owner. Along the way of his adventure, he discovers that the world along the tracks is very different when viewed from ground level. The Bra is a beautiful and funny meditation on daily life, and a post-modernist interpretation of Cinderella.
