Neighborhood Food Drive

Running time: 85 mins

Not all benefits are beneficial. Director Jerzy Rose crafts a sublime comedy of biting humor and unusual schemes to paint a satirical portrait of millennials and hipsters. When a local business needs to raise its profile, the owners decide to host a food drive. The problem is they have no clue what they are doing—and, after failure after failure, one has to wonder if they are actually benefitting anyone. Relationships become strained as the difficulty of planning such an event consumes everyone. Feelings and emotions need constant validation but only materialize as awkward humor. The moral? Good intentions do not always have good consequences.
