The Orheim Company

Running time: 104 mins

Director Arild Andresen won the Cinequest Audience Award with his film Liverpool Goalie at CQFF 2011 and returns with his latest coming-of-age story. Jarlee struggles, living in what can only be described as a dysfunctional family. In any household, where each member's distinct personality and very different dreams make functioning as a family unit difficult enough, an unpredictable alcoholic father makes it nearly impossible. Unable to stand up for himself, Jarlee finds an escape through music, politics, and girls. Years later, with his childhood far behind him, Jarlee receives a phone call informing him of his father's death. When he returns home, Jarlee is forced to face the demons of his past, but can he learn to be a part of a family? - Joe Keenan
