Twittamentary

Twittamentary

Running time: 66 mins

Tweet along a cross country road trip.

Why has Twitter become such a sensation? That is the question filmmaker Tan Siok seeks to discover as she sets off on a cross-country quest to talk to all kinds of Tweeters. Along the way we meet a porn star, a homeless woman, a prostitute and lots of everyday folk just having a little fun.

Shot in a dual screen mode so the audience can actually interact with the cast and crew during the movie, Twittamentary emphasizes the joys of this technological phenomenon. But the film also poses important questions facing our society, such as the danger of overuse and alienation from actual personal contact. The result is a cinematic experience like few others.
