Celebrity actress Leila seeks repose away from the city, from her work, and from the tabloids. She and her sons, the testy Iimari and the poetic Unto, escape to their vacation house in the countryside. Usually attentive to his dear mother's needs, Iimari becomes unaccommodating when author Aimo compromises their safe house to court Leila. Out of jealousy and spite, Iimari turns to the town's strange shop girl for affection. Both she and Aimo push Iimari towards his breaking point.
