The Bully Project
Running time: 90 mins
More than 18 million young people across the US will be bullied this year.
Emmy-award winning filmmaker Lee Hirsch creates a powerful and beautiful look at the daily lives of five kids and their families over the course of a school year. Each represents a different facet of America?s bullying crisis and includes two families devastated by suicide and a mother awaiting the fate of her 14-year-old daughter who has been incarcerated after bringing a gun on her school bus.
With an intimate glimpse into homes, classrooms, cafeterias and principals' offices, The Bully Project offers insight into the often cruel world of the lives of bullied children, as teachers, administrators, kids, and parents struggle to find answers. And through the testimony of courageous youth, it may be a catalyst for change in the way we deal with bullying.
