Shunzi has all kinds of problems. After losing his job and his wife on the same day, the portly ne?er-do-well finds himself living once again in his parents? house. Out of options and opportunities, he makes the decision to open a sex shop with new partner Lili. Their business dismal at first, the new proprietors soon learn their clientele prefers the cover of night to buy their sex toys, and they form new plans to help their business flourish. Needless to say, wackiness ensues.

Sam Voutas? deft direction adds punch to the hilariously deadpan performances, while eschewing slapstick for intelligent, verbal sparring. The result bears a resemblance to classic screwball comedies, while reflecting the rapid change in societal values of contemporary China.
