Rehka Kumar is a strong-willed, aspiring writer with massive finance problems and a serious chip on her shoulder about her father?s decision to leave her and her mother ten years ago. One day at her waitressing job in a Mexican restaurant, she overhears a nasty bit of family gossip that her father has relocated to Seattle with a new family and become a millionaire.

After punching her goody-two-shoes coworker and subsequently getting fired, with no reason to stay in southern California and a 90-day delay on paying her rent, Rehka ventures to Seattle with her ex-boyfriend, Omar, in search of financial assistance from her estranged father. On the road, she quickly discovers that it?s not really her father?s money that she needs at all.
