Potiche

Running time: 103 mins

Catherine Deneuve (8 Women, Belle de Jour) and Gerard Depardieu (La Vie en Rose, Cyrano de Bergerac) illuminate director François Ozon?s (Swimming Pool, 8 Women) delightful comedic farce about the war between the sexes and the classes.

In one of her finest comic roles, Catherine Deneuve portrays Suzanne Pujol, a trophy housewife to her husband, Robert, who spends his days running her family?s business into the ground. When workers at their factory go on strike due to severe working conditions, Robert suffers a heart attack and Suzanne is left in charge to pick up the pieces. In league with her former lover (now the mayor), Maurice (Depardieu), Suzanne quickly goes from laughing stock to hero when she saves the failing business and cultivates the best working conditions in years. But when her husband recovers and wants to start back up where he left off, neither party will go down without a fight.

Empowering and charming, master filmmaker Ozon fills his latest delight with style and grace.
