Green Waters

Green Waters

Running time: 90 mins

If it seems like your world is slipping away ? the first thing to ask is ?Is it??

Juan and his family are going to the shore for what should be a wonderful rest. But before they even reach the sea, things start to seem askew. While stopped at a station for snacks and fuel, Laura meets Roberto, a Belmondo smile fixed to his face. Once arrived, there he is, helpful, friendly, smiling. At every turn, Juan feels threatened ? people are looking curiously at him, his family is withdrawing from him. And always, always there?s Roberto, and always, always he?s smiling.

A brilliantly conceived and audaciously executed black comedy of discomfort, psychological impotence and paranoia, Mariano de Rosa?s first film in 10 years is a ?giddy, risky balancing act,? one that ?not many directors would have the nerve to attempt or the skill to pull off with such aplomb.?
