Prima Primavera

Running time: 86 mins

A childlike man with a chandelier and a dangerous woman attempt to outrun the men trying to kill them on a hypnotic road trip.

Middle-aged Gabor loses his mother during a botched bank robbery and the killers know he is the only eye-witness to the murder. On the run with a troubled young prostitute, Joli, who has secrets of her own, they travel from Bulgaria to Serbia in search of shelter at Gabor?s grandmother?s house. Along the way, the duo forge a close friendship which is tested by the dangers they face in the robbers, the police and their own emotions.

Director János Edelényi weaves an intelligent, suspenseful story with a charming yet mature coming of age tale. Combining breathtaking European landscapes and a beautiful orchestral score, Prima Primavera is both a visual and emotional journey through the lives of these lost characters.
