Peepers
Running time: 83 mins
Everyday folks by day, master voyeurs by night.
Accompanied by his buddies on the rooftops of Montreal, Steve Sherman sheds the respectable persona he wears throughout the day and becomes the leader of the Peepers, a group of eagle-eyed watchers looking for excitement in other people?s windows. Complete with their own set of rules (?A peeper never looks at a shower!?), the guys enjoy their sly escapades until Annette Fulvish, a university professor who, as part of her research, grabs her own set of binoculars and gives them a run for their money.
You don?t have to be a voyeur to love Seth Owen?s delightfully ribald comedy, which, with its unpredictable humor and uproarious performances by members of the Canadian comic troupe Automatic Vaudeville, at times plays like a screwball version of Alfred Hitchcock?s Rear Window.
