The Joey Awards were created 16 years ago to honor and to recognize the creative achievements in film and video. This series features a wonderful selection from the 1998 winners. Red Sky Filmsâ What Little Girls Are Made Of? is a rockin' view of Stanford Women's Basketball. KTEH Channel 54 chronicles jazz-age writer F. Scott Fitzgeraldâs stormy courtship of Zelda Sayer in American Storytellers: The Sensible Thing. Compass Rose Media presents What's a Disc Drive?, a detailed animation piece that explores what makes Silicon Valley tick. KTVU Channel 2 reveals a dizzying piece as to what heights one must go to work atop the Golden Gate Bridge with On Higher Ground. Rex & Red is a comical stop-animation short from Ludicrous Productions. Metropolis Digital presents 13th Floor, a computer-generated animated production. Winner of two awards, Jeff Cowans presents a fresh look into the astronomic telescope with Lick Observatory. 49er Locker Room Report Open is an electronically animated segment for KNTV Channel 11's 49er Sports Report. Milk Cartons: The Way Back Home is the result of a cooperative effort between Tam Communications and the San Jose Police Department to locate missing children. Whitbread: Every Second Counts details high adventure nautical sailing races as witnessed by the Media Production Group. And check out the 1998 student winner with Ethan's Tuesday from Amy Dean.
