Retired school director and widow Leopold Vossius (played impeccably by the legendary award-winning Jan Decleir from Rosenstrasse and Antonia?s Line) is persuaded by his intrusive and overly solicitous neighbor, Julien, to find a new wife on the Internet. With an astonishing list of perfect matches, Leopold sets out to find a replacement wife that will maintain his routine living habits. Dating excursions abound with myriad eccentric women making it difficult for Leopold to decide whom to pursue. However, a replacement housekeeper, Alina, arrives at his doorsteps, which disturbs his daily rendezvous with his wife potentials. Leopold finds himself living in chaos, with relief nowhere in sight as pressure builds from the persistent women as well as from Alina who devastates everything she touches in his house. An unexpected romantic comedy, A Perfect Match explores the idea that the love worthy of pursuit is more attractive when everything is not so perfectly laid out.
