Mujaan

Running time: 10 mins

On the distant steppes of Mongolia, using only simple tools, strength and ingenuity, a nomad builds a home much the way his ancestors have for a thousand years.

Mujaan (The Craftsman) is a meditation on work and a vivid window to a disappearing way of life in a pristine wilderness.

The twenty-five minute video was inspired by Baraka's chicken-factory sequence, in which the audience comes to know the process of a modern chicken's life without any narrative explanation.

Including traditional Mongolian painting and music, Mujaan was created to excite urban audiences and future generations with a vision of how people can live in harmony with nature.

This is an excerpt of the twenty-five minute video.
