Charlie has had better days. A seemingly dim-witted safecracker, Charlie (otherwise known as ?The Ox?) is recruited by a gang of seasoned crooks, only to find himself cheated out of the loot and laughed out of town.

But his new partners really haven?t any idea who they are dealing with, and no one double-crosses Charlie. It does not take long for him to devise a plan to get back what is rightfully his, restore his reputation and teach his friends and expensive lesson. Of course, nothing ever really goes exactly as planned?

San Jose?s own Scott Smith delivers a tightly-woven, comedy crime caper about a dreamer who doesn?t know the meaning of ?give up.? Featuring dead-on performances by Cory McAbee (electric front-man from the band ?The Billy Nayer Show?) and the always incredible Jon Polito (Miller?s Crossing, The Big Lebowski), Charlie the Ox is more than just a clever payback thriller.
