Miro, an Argentinian biology student, falls madly in love with Mercedes, an actress in a local play. When Miro is mistaken for a famous Argentinian film director, he does nothing to correct the error, as Mercedes is duly impressed. Promising to cast her in his new film, Miro undertakes making a movie to win Mercedes? heart. There is only one problem?Miro has no idea how to make a film.

More complications arise when two film students start to make a documentary on the ?great director?s? new masterpiece, unaware that as little as they know about filmmaking, they know a hell of a lot more than Miro. And when Miro takes over the male lead?the romantic lead to Mercedes?the film and his love life spin wildly out of control.

Director Peter Luisi superbly mixes humor, pathos and tension in his bittersweet romance filled with wacky twists and unexpected consequences.
