Security

Running time: 95 mins

Pat and Bill take their jobs as rent-a-cops at the chocolate factory very, very seriously. Perhaps a little too seriously at times. So, when the "prototypical chocolate" is stolen during the graveyard shift (Pat and Bill?s shift), nothing can stop them from solving this most heinous of crimes.

Although not having been given much in the brain category - the phrase "dumb as posts" comes to mind - Pat and Bill make up for that with a dogged dedication that goes beyond extreme. Whether ridiculed by the guards on the prestigious dayshift or threatened by a janitor?s toilet brush, nothing will derail Pat and Bill from their quest of exposing the sinister culprit. Even in the most absurd of situations - which are abundant - Pat and Bill never give up hope that they will save the day. And as the missing candy riddle starts to unravel, one can?t help but root for these bumbling heroes.

Director Brien Burroughs (Suckerfish, Cinequest 2000) devises one of the most uproarious films of the year with his superb, offbeat style. Stephan Kearin and Tim Orr?s hilarious deadpan portrayals of the film?s odd couple make for the most loveably inept duo since Laurel and Hardy. Stir in the wickedly witty dialogue, which is all improvised, and you will split your side as if hit from Pat?s nightstick (if he can ever find it).
