An assignment as boring as painting for the Pope. An exploration of the tangled relationship between the dreams of youth and the wisdom of age, written by and starring Jeff Daniels (Newsroom, The Squid and the Whale). Accomplished playwright Joseph Harris (Daniels) couldn't be more unenthusiastic about writing a world premiere for the Steubenville Playhouse. Greeting the cynical New Yorker when he arrives at the bus station is Kenneth, an aspiring young playwright sent to accompany Joseph to the regional theatre. Initially excited to meet one of his long-time idols, Kenneth quickly realizes Joseph really wants no part of the production and is on the verge of returning to New York. Kenneth does whatever he can to keep Joseph from backing out, leading the pair to become embroiled in an outrageous battle. A tour-de-force of acting, with brilliant direction from Timothy Busfield (The West Wing), Guest Artist mesmerizes and inspires. - Peter Koros Preceded by the music video: Second Hand Lovers; Director: Oren Lavie; Length: 4 min; Country: Israel (Part of the Official Music Video Competition)
