Ill-fated lovers have only their shared memories to keep them going. James ( James McAvoy, X-Men), a globetrotting water engineer, and Danielle (Alicia Vikander, Ex-Machina), a bio-mathematician working on a deep-sea diving project, meet in northern France and end up having a torrid love affair. Their careers ensure their separation. While James has to go to Somalia on a project, Danielle goes to Greenland on her underwater expedition. Their plans to reunite are foiled when James gets kidnapped by jihadists. Unaware of James’ fate, Danielle awaits his text. Isolated, both James and Danielle pine for the other and the only solace they find is to submerge themselves in the memory of the precious few days they had together.
