Bernard and Huey

Running time: 91 mins

Some friendships stand the test of time; others shouldn’t. Bernard and Huey tells the story of two friends unfortunately reunited after twenty-five years. Bernard (Academy Award-winner Jim Rash, The Descendants), now only a remnant of the bookish, insecure young man he was when he first befriended the womanizing Huey (David Koechner, Anchorman), agrees to let Huey live with him until he gets “back on his feet.” However, with Huey around, Bernard finds himself occupying the same, dull role he assumed during their friendship. And after sleeping with Huey’s estranged daughter Zelda (Mae Whitman, The Duff), Bernard finds himself in love with her. Written by Pulitzer/Oscar/Obie-winning writer Jules Feiffer, Bernard and Huey, razor sharp and radically humorous, reminds us that sometimes, even if we outgrow our past, we still have to live with it. - Michael Quintana
