Unrest

Running time: 84 mins

World Premiere

Medical School. First year. First day. Students are thrown into their Gross Anatomy class where they see their own mortalities reflected in the dead bodies that lay before them?waiting to be cut up. Some students are reverent. Others turn to humor to lessen the horror in front of their faces.

Alison Blanchard, however, gets an eerie feeling that her cadaver's spirit is not at rest?a theory that seems to becoming all-to-real when Alison sets out to discover the truth behind her mysterious body. But each clue Alison uncovers comes at a high price; someone's life. And the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the greater the unrest the spirit trying to communicate with her undergoes. Soon, Alison must risk it all and the lives of those around her in hopes that if she can put the body to rest, the killings will stop.

Director Jason Todd Ipson delivers a visually stunning addition to the horror genre. Yet, unlike the generic Hollywood flick, Ipson offers compelling characters that jump right off the screen?especially in Alison, a heroine that depicts strength and maturity. With strong, creative writing and a mesmerizing performance by Corri English, Unrest will make you jump and keep you on edge until the final credits.
