Again this year we have a fantastic closing night event planned. You will have a choice of two films. Following the films join everyone for a party at Gordon Biersch.

Wild Bunch: An Album in Montage, introduced by the director, Paul Seydor. Followed by Wild Bill: Hollywood Maverick. William Wellman Jr, son of William Wellman, executive producer and creator of the film will answer questions afterwards. 7:00 p.m. (UA).

Fine Line presents The Quiet Room by Rolf De Heer. The Quiet Room was an official selection at Cannes in 1996 and has won rave reviews in numerous festivals. Chloe Ferguson gives a stunning performance as the little seven year old girl. Rolf De Heer's previous films include Bad Boy Bubby (Special Jury and International Critics Prizes, Venice Film Festival 1993). 7:00 p.m. (UA).

The evening's festivities will move to Gordon Biersch (33 San Fernando Street) where a fully catered party with blues band Terry Hanck and the Soulrockers will continue fun. At Gordon Biersch, the winners of the Cinequest 1997 Juried Competition will be announced and the new award, designed by a local artist will be unveiled.
