World Premiere Director Josh Apter (Kaaterskill Falls, Cinequest 2002) tells an unlikely love story of two people trying to find themselves, first as friends, then partners and finally lovers.Gus enjoys his carefree life, bicycling around Manhattan delivering special packages to a steady group of regulars. But after a cataclysmic occurrence, Gus realizes that it's time to go straight. Jessie, a massage therapist with very few clients, is desperately trying to recover from the death of her boyfriend. Her professional and personal lives both seem poised for a change. Jessie and Gus had met prior to his reincarnation; he was madly attracted to her, while she thought him a fool. Fate reunites them, and the new Gus is one Jessie actually likes. While both struggle to fix the broken parts of their lives, Gus has a brainstorm that will allow them to embark on a joint venture to do what they do best-but is either truly prepared for the consequences? Two fractured lives are changed as Gus and Jessie ride their roller coaster of a relationship, while taking risks that can be quite dangerous to them. Richard Egan and Tanya Clarke bring a dynamic presence to their roles as two tremendously appealing down-and-out souls who are determined to find redemption no matter what the cost.
