Nete is a 35-year-old woman who has never really been able to relate to her father, a bitter and introverted man, who has not only alienated himself from his daughter, but also disowned his son. When her father falls ill and Nete is told he has three weeks to live, she has no other choice-over his objections, she tells him that he is moving in with her. Nete's father moves in, which strains an already tenuous relationship among Nete, her professor husband, and their teenager daughter. Three weeks pass; then a month; then six months, and Nete feels that her father is never going to die. In the meantime, unable to cope with mounting circumstances, Nete must look for strength within herself, as her world continues to unravel to an explosive conclusion. Paprika Steen is a delight to watch as a woman always in control, who must learn how to lose that control in order to reach out to the ones she loves. Emotionally charged and honest, Jesper Nielsen's captivating Okay is a tender story of heartfelt sentiment and courage. - Sandy Wolf
