Based on producers Don and Susan Sanders' book of the same title, director Kurt Kuenne's Drive-In Movie Memories is rich film that chronicles the ultimate drive-in experience from the origins to its heyday with wacky gimmicks, through the teen-oriented horror film years to its endangered present. Along the way, we are treated to clips and pictures that are both hilarious and fascinating. Featuring Leonard Maltin, Billy Bob Briggs, and B-Movie Queen, Beverly Garland, and an incredible musical score by Kuenne himself, Drive-In Movie Memories is a celebration of not only film going but also American social history.
