Northern California Premiere Srdan Golubovic's entrancing first feature reveals what happens when youthful ambition and brotherly love are threatened by a world of revenge and manipulation. Sasha is a competitive sharpshooter qualifying for the Junior World Championships - and his world is coming apart at the seams. Sasha's father was Yugoslavia's most famous marksman. Sasha's older brother, Igor, once also World Champion Sharpshooter and a sniper during the civil war, is now a junkie. To make matters worse, Igor's just sold the family shooting range to a gangster, and now the gangster is trying to take over Sasha's life. It's all too much. Everywhere he looks, Sasha sees corruption and injustice- so he decides to take matters into his own hands and unleashes an uncontrollable firestorm that will engulf not only himself but also his brother and his friends as well. Much more than simply a riveting thriller, this is a film about the impossibility of normal life after the war. There is, in the story of the two brothers' fate, bound by honor, pride, and a profound if misguided sense of justice and responsibility, something that rings of Greek tragedy.
