Director Chris Vander Stappen (co-screenwriter for Ma Vie en Rose) debuts as a feature director with a funny, intelligent and uplifting film that includes a dramatic and playful performance by internationally acclaimed French actress Marie Bunel (Ma Vie en Rose). Sacha's mom wants her daughter to become a successful doctor. Sacha, however, just quit medical school. Okay, maybe Sacha can simply marry a doctor, or a lawyer or even a notary man. That would make her mother's dreams come true, a tall, handsome man in her daughter's life. Well, Sacha did meet someone, and she's very happy. She just has to tell her family about the new woman in her life. Even in the solitude of her apartment and comforting mirror, Sacha can barely work up the courage to confront herself, much less tell these things to Mom. Discovering herself was the easy part - telling her family will take some time. Family Pack is a very humorous, emotionally-charged film that tests the will of a family. Set in 1960s Brussels, Family Pack takes a colorful look at the bonds within a family who are caught up in their dreams for Sacha and blinded by their own insecurities. And when the truth unfolds, an empowering sense of what truly matters is revealed. --Matthew Seeberger
