Chillicothe

Chillicothe

Running time: N/A

It's been four years since graduation, and Wade, possibly the world's most cynical bachelor, is still stewing over the loss of his social life. Once upon a time, he was an aspiring artist with a beautiful girlfriend, but now he is single, uninspired and pretty damn bitter. To begin, Wade's best friend, Kevin, has just landed a date with the waitress of his dreams, and marriage plans are soon afoot. The wedding day marks the end of an era for Wade and his slacker buddies. They disperse to various corners of the city, including Wade's long-time sidekick, Matt (affectionately referred to as "Chewbacca"). Soon, Wade finds himself seeking refuge with a new bunch of dysfunctional guys, living with his TV-worshipping brother, and starting to re-think his life. Director Todd Edwards describes this hilarious romp as a "personal fictionalized look at his life and those of his friends during their years after college". What a life it must have been thus far! With the impact he has had on us with his debut feature, Chillicothe, we can honestly say that he is one of the hot, new discoveries of the year. --Mike Rabehl
