Angel's Dance
Running time: N/A
The Lobrutto family is in desperate need of a new hit man. Their star, "The Shank", has just been run over by a Mack truck, and their thieving accountant, hidden in the witness protection program, is set to testify against them in two weeks. Enter Tony "The Rock" Greco (Kyle Chandler), an up-and-comer in the family business. Since he'll have only one chance at a hit, Tony is sent to LA to be properly trained by Stevie "The Rose" Rosellini (James Belushi), the Zen master of liquidation. Stevie, a veggie-dog-eating "New Age" sort of hit man, has the befuddled Tony reading Nietzsche and tending to bonsai trees in addition to improving his marksmanship. For his first test, Stevie has Tony throw a knife into a phone book. The name that the tip of the blade hits will be Tony's target practice . . . Angel Chaste. But Angel (Sheryl Lee) proves that the second best swordsman isn't the one to be wary of; it's the one who has never picked up a sword. Angel is just the sort of unpredictable amateur to thwart the two killers in this wickedly fun game of cat and mouse. --Meredith H. Sherter
