What is an ambitious self-confessed ?piece of Moscow scum? to do if he wants to avoid the army and make something of himself? Nothing less than follow the sage words, ?Go West Young Man." To Cobakka and Spiker this means leaving Moscow for London. But they soon find the road to success is not as easy as anticipated for broke, illegal immigrants.

Good natured at heart, these young con-men scheme and connive their way to earn some cash?honestly or dishonestly?whichever comes first. But as hardships intervene, the boys discover that in their dog eat dog world, they are frequently the ones being eaten. Strangers in a strange land, Cobakka and Spiker try to assimilate and learn how to play by the rules of the street, but this often gets them no closer to where they want to be.

Director Suzie Halewood humorously and affectionately handles the adventures of these two rip-off artists being ripped off. The two likeable rogues grow up and discover the meaning of real friendship as they face hardships together.
