Breaking the rules of narrative, the horror/thriller film Compartment tells the stories of four 'average' people who meddle with the unknown and meet with a sinister fate linked to the imported car they find they are unable to leave behind. Subtle and allegorical, the gritty, interwoven stories of their lives are portrayed by a Bay Area ?reality? cast of mostly non-actors in this first feature length film from director Ray Arthur Wang "RAW?.

Unable to resist a free ride, a middle-aged man working the graveyard shift takes an abandoned car home after work one night. The isolated stepdaughter disappears the night she drives out alone to a house party. A petty criminal and his accomplice drink away another night of their early twenties while hatching a plan to pay their outstanding debts to a local gang. Driving back from a tryst with his other girlfriend, a self-proclaimed ?actor? finds what?s hidden in the compartment of his new used car. And that its original owner is back in town to get it.

Set in a small northern California suburb RAW unfolds a chilling story of the ?sinister? in the ?average? and the ?average? hidden within the ?sinister.? A chewy plot driven by the improvisational realism of its acting and direction leaves a question hanging in the back of your throat: what?s more frightening?Reality or the Supernatural?
