Madeline dreams of a better life. By day she cleans houses. By night she studies for college. And when she's not looking, her husband Joe cheats on her with her best friend. The Cleaning Lady is a comedy about a woman who just can't seem to get ahead. Debra Niestat, as Madeline, lives a life of comic drudgery as she pushes her trolley from one house to another. Andy Freeman is Joe, the man she never should have married. And Michael Cheng is Stanford, the medical student who encourages Madeline to go back to school.

When an opportunity comes Madeline's way, she goes after it full force. A medical academy offers her placement in their school, but while driving to Stanford's house she gets distracted and runs him over. In an instant, her whole future disappears. But when Stanford awakens to see Madeline, in his daze assumes they're married. And Madeline goes with the lie.

For a brief moment, Madeline gets to live a whole new life. But the charade grows crazier and crazier until soon, even Madeline can't keep up...as she finds herself juggling two husbands, two jobs, and too many lies.
