Peter is a married and respectable psychotherapist who combines his usual routine with regular visits to a professional dominatrix, Suzanne, whom he has been meeting in a basement for two years. Pain is what Peter is looking for, but he does not know how morally painful it can be when he gets emotionally involved and attached to this woman. Such a relationship is never ordinary or simple. When Suzanne decides to leave her job and Peter cannot see her any time he wants to, his suffering begins.
