Global Landscapes

Running time: N/A

Our most exciting Global Landscapes to date offers artistic views from 22 artists and spans the globe to bring some of the most exciting new world visions. Each film in the entire Cinequest program is wildly different from the rest, but Global Landscapes is always a special group, spotlighting specific countries or regions whose influence has a global impact on the art of cinema. In response to the continued interest and audience demand for Latino cinema, Cinequest is delighted to present its twelfth exciting Latino Film Showcase and fourth Pacific Basin Showcase. Demonstrating the depth of artistry and variety of subject matter explored by world film artists, this showcase offers a view of some of the fresh new voices exploring original themes in innovative ways. These maverick filmmakers explore themes ranging from patriotism to immigration or fighting for one?s life to fighting for love; and each and every story runs the gamut of emotions, making each a truly special experience. Poignant, compelling, funny and always astonishing, they are films that must be experienced.
