Past recipient (2011) of the Nokia Health Award at The Tech Awards 2011, We Care Solar's Solar Suitcase Installations are wonderfully transforming the quality of care in Africa, Haiti, and other low resource areas. These installations power medical and surgical lighting, mobile communication devices, and medical devices. The lack of these items has led to a horribly high maternal and infant mortality rate in areas that do not have reliable lighting and technology to aid them in the delivery rooms, many Cesarean sections and nighttime deliveries done with little to no light.
