Eco-Fuel Africa

Eco-Fuel Africa

Running time: N/A

Sanga Moses' hope to provide Africa with a clean cooking fuel after great deforestation wiped out Sub-Saharan African forests led to the rise of Eco-Fuel Africa. Simple, locally made technology has been created to allow local people to convert agricultural waste into clean cooking fuel and organic fertilizers. This technology has been used by more than 1500 farmers and benefited over 6,000 families, for which Sanga received the Accenture Sustainable Energy Award at The Tech Awards 2012. It has allowed farmers and families to grow in income, provided more children opportunities for growth, and put burned down terrain to good use. Plays before the feature film Plimpton!
