Running time: 114 mins
He braves a shoot off to avoid being shot down.
Producers tell screenwriter Sergio (Fele Martinez) that his script has no substance and no story. How can a screenwriter describe a place to which he has never been? Determined to have his vision seen, Sergio visits the setting of his script: Chile's Atacama Desert, the driest desert in the world. There, oddly mistaken for a small town hero, Sergio is thrown into a modern western thriller, fighting for a story, while evading an evil foe. Dodging stand-offs and bar brawls, he never forgets to document his misfortunes and hallucinations as substance for his new manuscript. Immersed in his fantastic reality, Sergio plays his own protagonist, embracing a whole range of experiences, breathing life into his film.
