In a small coastal town, three men in the first throes of retirement comically brood and bond over the ends of their careers. Is it liberating or a new form of confinement? Can they re-invent themselves at this point in their lives or be relegated to memories and inevitable failing health? Bob's still the lady's man of his youth and explores that former territory through a memoir he's writing. Britt inhabits a houseboat he wants to share with the right woman, if he can find her. And Dave drifts along, content to bob and swirl in the current of his two friends. This heartfelt group portrait shimmers with a deft palette of realism, humor, and truth.
