The Snow Caveman

Running time: 80 mins

In the mountains of Norway, one man finds freedom in solitude, much to the chagrin of his mother.

For twenty years, the Snow Caveman has lived alone high up in the icy Norwegian mountains. An irreverent and philosophical man, he exists much as our distant ancestors must have, finding shelter in caves and igloos. He finds contentment amongst the snowdrifts and reindeer herds. His mother didn't understand his lifestyle and remained heartbroken by what she considered his anti-social behavior. Consequently when he learns of her death, and of the fact that she makes his inheritance of her estate conditional -- upon his abandoning his nomadic lifestyle in order to receive her apartment, the Snow Caveman must decide whether he can return to a civilization he has rejected.

Filled with biting humor and human drama, The Snow Caveman?s portrait of a true environmentalist provokes important and difficult debates about the nature of freedom and responsibility.
