The Sentiment of the Flesh

Running time: 91 mins

The relationship between a ravishing doctor and a young student deepens into a dark obsession.

During a medical exam, Héléna, a student in anatomical drawing, meets Benoît, a young radiologist. While one is infatuated with the beauty of the inner parts of a body, the other is convinced that a flaw resides within them, fueling a passionately erotic physical obsession. But when Benoît's early fervor for intimacy gives way to caution, they are led down a dangerous course.

Roberto Garzelli?s spectacular and mind-blowing debut feature ?examines the fantasy of fusion inherent in passionate love? through its tale of two individuals who find a physical relationship not enough for them. A genre redefining film, which at times may draw from the works of David Cronenberg, The Sentiment of the Flesh looks at passion and the human body with an astonishing new visionary style.
