Alan and his young mistress, Michela, are off on a romantic interlude. Out of nowhere, the unforeseen occurs when Alan is traumatically injured in a motorbike accident. Three years later, Alan?s wife, Francoise, continues to deal with emotional and legal stress of Alan?s paralysis. His best friend, Igor, lends support the best way he knows how but soon finds himself becoming closer to Michela, Alan?s former mistress. Fate?s hand once again passes over their lives.

Divided into chapters of romance, thriller, comedy and drama, director Erik Bernasconi wonderfully depicts life and its many crossroads, providing an enticing look at how people celebrate the joys, and cope with the difficulties, of engaging in a world where the unexpected is to be expected. Shot with breathtaking scenery in Switzerland, Sinestesia exposes us to the realization that one unanticipated event may change our lives forever.
