Oxygen

Running time: 96 mins

Life is short. Tom is not going to let his illness get in the way of allowing him to enjoy all life has to offer.

Tom and his older brother, Luke, both suffer from cystic fibrosis. While Luke chooses to undergo a lung transplant, Tom prefers to ignore his condition, even as he is hospitalized. In the hospital, Tom meets the rebellious Xavier, who despite suffering from the same disease, keeps his joie de vivre. Xavier?s optimism and spirit rub off on Tom, who begins to see the hope of a fun-filled and free-wheeling life, including the possibility of love.

Touching but never sentimental, director Hans Van Nuffel's film examines a world where one can never tell what the next day will bring. Harrowing, romantic and humorous, Oxygen depicts a riveting tale of wounded souls dealing with their fate in the best way they know how and making the most of what they have.
