The 1950?s! A time of possibility and optimism. The average American family now has a television set in their home and the industry is booming, constantly coming up with new programming. A young writer at the time, Jacob Stiller, hopes to find success with his new show, Our Neighborhood. The show is filled with bright characters in an average suburban neighborhood, all living together in harmony. The only thing is, the members of this neighborhood are ethnically diverse. The show?s subject matter of a young black boy going steady with a white girl quickly receives disapproval as Jacob struggles to see his vision made a reality. Soon, the turmoil going on outside the story starts to bleed into the world of Our Neighborhood as the characters begin to be pulled out of the show by a mysterious wraith-like entity.
