Truffe

Running time: 75 mins

In a surreal, futuristic comedy that defies all expectations, a truffle hunter overcomes a bizarre diabolical plot.

In a Montreal neighborhood, truffles have mysteriously appeared underground for years. Charles, a truffle hunter with an exceptional sense of smell, supplies the Snack Shop he runs with Alice with an abundance of truffles for their customers to revel in and devour. As Charles? olfactory skills become legendary, he entertains an offer from a rather strange fur company which leads him on a path that even his well trained nose can?t sniff out.

Mixing science fiction, comedy, horror and a dark message about conformity, director Kim Nguyen?s Truffe is an outlandish, wild journey exploring our need for compulsive consumption. A remarkable tale of a society gone mad by obsession, Truffe is a breathtaking experience full of surprises which captures the scent of good overcoming evil with unbridled imagination and panache, and of course, taste.
