KussKuss
Running time: 95 mins
Sören Senn?s KussKuss is a tragicomical story about love and guilt and other mistakes
The tender relationship between Katja and Hendrik could be so wonderful. At least they both attempt to perpetuate this blissful image of themselves, until a young Algerian woman enters the picture and holds up a mirror to the blunt truth.
Katja allows Saida, who is being pursued by officials from the department of refugees, to move into their apartment. Hendrik does not understand the reason for Katja's hasty efforts. However, when one day Katja comes up with the glorious idea that Hendrik should marry Saida pro forma as well, even Katja overestimates the situation, especially because she has failed to see exactly what has been going on between the two.
?In KussKuss all protagonists pretend to be good to any other one. But in the end, their ideas of being good are rather influenced by their own satisfaction. KussKuss is a film about human relationship without delivering simple solutions. I wanted to write and tell a story in which everybody is next to himself and more or less deeply misguided by his desires.? - Sören Senn
