Mirjam is the beautiful stepdaughter of the pastor in an evangelical free church. She is also the ruling world champion of freestyle disco dancing. She is passionate about performing, but her body is crying for help. During a competition, she has a breakdown and falls while on stage and in her world, the only solution to this problem is to be a “better believer.” Her physical struggles are blamed on a “lack of faith”— a devastating accusation, considering virtually every second of her day is dominated by religion; from the television she watches, to the podcasts and music to which she listens. As Mirjam's control and confidence slip away, she searches for more…radical solutions.
