The Last Days of Capitalism

Running time: 84 mins

Sex, power, and carpe diem in Vegas.

A rich man hires a prostitute- but this deceptively simple storyline asks us to consider much more than sex in Vegas. Set entirely in a hotel suite where everything is available via the concierge, the film explores power dynamics and all the pleasures that wealth provides. If you had the money, would you fly to Paris for a week? Writer/director Adam Mervis (screenwriter of 21 Bridges) looks at the bounds of capitalism, and the repercussions of actions by those in control, for those being controlled, and then asks us to consider what is justice. Sarah Rose Harper (The Dead Ones) and Mike Faiola (Awkard) make a spectacular duo in this sensuous film. – Kelly A. Harrison
