Ng Min Kan's Deadly Melody is an action-packed spoof of the ever popular Hong-Kong Martial Arts films combined with mythic fantasy in a tale of romance and revenge. World's Best Commercials 1995 is a hilarious compilation of the world's most bizarre commercial filmmaking sorted into categories (Food and Drink, Travel and Entertainment). 11:15 p.m. Saturday, February 1st (C3) 120'. Influenced by the expressionist film classics as well as the lunatic tales of Georges Melies and the sci-fi serials of the Thirties, Walter Feistle's The Human Bomb take a journey back to the future. Little Rolf is supposed to be propelled into the fourth dimension as a living bomb, but he's a coward so experiment fails. (German with English subtitles). The Human Bomb precedes Body Switch. 11:30 p.m. Saturday, February 1st (UA) 105'. Jom Faurschou's Body Switch is a dramatic twist on the Frankenstein story with a young man inheriting an old body!?! (Danish with English subtitles). With a deft hand and light touch, Body Switch keeps you guessing, and that's where all the fun lies. Body Switch plays with The Human Bomb. 11:30 p.m. Saturday, February 1st (UA) 105'. Rainer Matsutani's Over My Dead Body is a surreal black comedy starring a philanderer, a beautiful woman and a talking chicken. With Katja Riemann (Talk of the Town). (German with English subtitles). 11:15 p.m. Sunday, February 2nd (UA) 102' Marc R.Cavello's I'm a Cat Man is a short film dealing with a young man who has reached his breaking-point. As the title suggests, the boy is a cat-lover who lives with his family, which is completely obsessed with dogs. I'm a Cat Man precedes Morella. 11:15 p.m. Monday, February 3rd (C3) 90'. In the spirit of 19th century Gothic tales and reminiscent of Edgar Allan Poe, James G. Duddelson's Morella takes bio-technology as its bogeyman and sets it in its own cold and drafty "haunted mansion"--a gene splicing research lab. Morella plays with I'm a Cat Man. 11:15 p.m. Monday, February 3rd (C3) 90'. After last year's Trailer Camp, Jenni Olson returns to Cinequest with Afro Promo which focuses on the images of African Americans in mainstream and low-budget Hollywood films from 1946 to 1976. Jenni Olson will present her film, Afro Promo at the After Hours Celebration. The After Hours celebration party will follow, at South First Billiards(420 S.
